The Work is extremely simple and profoundly deep.  It has two central activities:
Identifying the explicit stressful situation and your thoughts, feelings, body sensations, memories, and projections. Byron Katie makes available a free printable form called “Judge Your Neighbor worksheet” (JYN) which is available by clicking here:

The second activity is the asking and answering of four questions and an activity called the turnarounds.

Here are the four questions posed in reference to a typical stressful thought, e.g., “My brother had hidden animosity against me.”

1.  Is it true?
2.  Do I absolutely know for sure that it is true?
3.  When I believe this thought, what happens, how do I react?
4.  What would my life be without the thought?

Turn the thought around, usually in three ways: to the self, to the other, and to the opposite — e.g., I have hidden animosity against myself, I have hidden animosity against my brother, my brother does not have hidden animosity against me.
